ITS PROVIDES AIX AND POWER SYSTEMS SUPPORT FOR SOFTWARE CRITICAL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE
“ITS PROVIDES REAL SUPPORT BY PEOPLE WHO REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY’RE DOING.”White Mountain Oil (WMO) is a third-generation family business that delivers heating oil and propane to customers within a 50 mile radius of their headquarters in North Conway, NH. When they first contacted ITS in 1997, their infrastructure was out of date and inadequate to serve their growing need for data management.
ITS installed and provided all conversion services for a major upgrade to AIX and Power Systems servers and network at WMO. Since then, ITS has provided primary support of the Taurus Systems ERP software that schedules oil and propane deliveries. ITS also devised a hosted Windows desktop solution for some accounting applications that do not interface well with Taurus.
WMO can now seamlessly access data from its entire staff of approximately 50 people, half of whom are in the office and half on the road making deliveries and servicing heating equipment. “We can push info to the field with an acceptable level of security thanks to the firewall ITS set up,” notes Kirk Saunders.
“ITS engineers taught me how our networks function, so I can manage our systems on a daily basis. But any time we need help,” Saunders adds, “ITS is on top of it asap. They’ve been integral to our continuing success for the past 20 years."
